What's new in iPrism v5.0?

iPrism Automated Rating Protocol (iARP)

iARP sends customer-specific unrated URLs for inclusion in the iPrism filter list based on the top 100 unrated sites that users have actually surfed, and does so on a repeated basis. More

Auto-Login
Enhancement
(iPAL)

Auto-Login enhancements using client-side scripts to perform browser and IM/P2P independent Auto-Login.  This feature can significantly reduce the amount of un-authenticated traffic for Web and IM/P2P filtering. More

 LDAP Enhancements
and Auto-Login

Building on the Auto-Login enhancement above, LDAP Auto-Login has been added. For easier policy implementation, LDAP now supports the same group-to-profile mapping used for Windows Authentication. Lastly, Administrator privileges have been added for LDAP authenticated users, providing access to reports, overrides etc. More

Enhancement

Safe-Search now provides filtering of thumbnail images in Google image search. More

Additional "Locals"

More content categories and"Local" categories have been added to the Filter-List (iGuard). Description fields for "Locals" are now provided.   More

Lock ACL

This allows lock-down of the block and monitor settings for individual categories. This feature can be used "stand-alone" or as part of Delegated Administration (see next). Lock ACL prevents access to inappropriate content even when overrides are allowed. More

An option for background reporting has been added to existing interactive and daily/weekly/monthly report scheduling, providing additional flexibility. Also, reporting maintenance performance has been improved significantly. More

Leveraging geographically dispersed "Enterprise Reporting Servers" at co-location facilities, this new service provides centralized, high-performance reporting without the need to purchase an in-house ERS server. More
