Appliance Manager allows the discovery, configuration & management of one or more iPrism appliances.
The Appliance manager software should be installed (from CD) in the same subnet as the iPrism appliance so that Appliance Manager can "discover" (with a network broadcast) iPrism appliance(s) when launched. New appliances display without an IP Address and the message (Not Configured).
Right-Clicking on the unconfigured iPrism, there are 2 initial tasks for Appliance Manager to do:
Assign an IP Address and Subnet Mask (once done you won't see this wizard again)
Logging in and performing the initial configuration. (You can cancel the login and configure the appliance later, or you can configure the appliance immediately. This is where you need your appliance serial number and software license (keycode) information).
